Pride of the Lions

One of the most respected Mascots in college football is in jeopardy of not making a trip with his team to the Rose Bowl. As we read in the Collegian Online the Nittany Lions Mascot was pulled over and arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

"Nittany Lion mascot James D. Sheep was charged with DUI Wednesday in connection with an incident last Saturday on Curtin Road, Penn State police said.
Penn State spokesman Geoff Rushton said he did not know if Sheep's (senior-broadcast journalism) status as the mascot would be affected because of the charges. He said that decision will ultimately be made by the head cheerleading coach.
Curtis White, Penn State's cheerleading coach, could not be reached for comment.
Rushton also said he expects some action from the Office of Judicial Affairs, although no steps have been taken yet because of the holiday.
Sheep, of Chambersburg, Pa., could not be reached for comment."

Given Pennsylvania's knack for it's mascot's getting into some trouble I'd say the Nittany Lion was just trying to join the fraternity. I mean when you've got to live up to this guy's
reputation ...

... you can't really bring anything less than a DUI charge.
